Biography
I self-identify as a copy editor. What I consider very important is the clear and correct conveyance of intended information from the knowledgeable to those searching for that knowledge. I have a natural talent for spotting typographical, spelling, and style errors instantly in all forms of the written word. My background from my undergraduate linguistics major and editing experience has left me with a good vocabulary to describe those errors and why they are errors.
In communicating a message, it is immensely important to ensure that your readers are not distracted by errors and that your message is not obscured by the unintended effect of errors in structure. It is my hope to do a little part to improve communication with this in mind.
