Exploring New Cuisines

Over the summer, I decided to start tasting foods from different cultures and improve my food education. Thus far, I had really only been interested in Asian cuisine: Japanese, Chinese, and Cantonese.

After watching many, many cooking shows during the pandemic, I tried dishes from India, Spain, Vietnam, and Thailand.

I found myself enticed with entirely new flavors, and educated myself in each culture's most widely recognized dishes: Indian butter chicken, or chicken makhani, Spanish rice with chicken, or arroz con pollo, Vietnamese beef and noodle salad, or bún bò xào, and Thai red curry.
