I'm the Head of Research & Development for University Libraries at Carnegie Mellon.

Here we are developing the software for the digital library of the future.
Projects include:

• DIVA : The Digital Information Versatile Archive
• A Proxy Server for Remote Access
• ARA : The Automated Reference Assistant
• CMU's  Digital Library  System
• MetaScan

Previously, I was a Research Programmer in CMU's Center for Electronic Design Automation (CEDA),
where I created semiconductor manufacturing simulation and analysis software which resulted in my founding
