using social science to solve technical problems

I am a Ph.D. student in Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. My research focuses on using behavioral science to improve the effectiveness of programs in the electricity industry.

I spent a year working as a marine technician in the Shipboard Science Support Group for the Oceanography Department at the University of Washington. I learned a lot about the ocean, science, and life at sea.

I graduated from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering with a B.S. Engineering: Systems in May 2010.

I grew up in Baltimore, MD and graduated from Garrison Forest School where I was one of the first students to enroll in the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Program.
