This disaster management system allows you to subscribe with one click - and you will always be informed of an impending disaster in your area within EC.

How Do We Do It?

This disaster management system requires you to subscribe using your phone credentials so you can be informed of an impending disaster by a notification system. In addition, you can receive information on procedures during certain disasters. You'll also have the option of informing the authorities through various means of contact through your phone.

Fire Alarms

WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF FIRE

If you discover a fire:
  • Close the door where the fire is located
  • Activate the nearest manual call point and contact QF security at 4454 0999
  • Raise a fire alarm
If the building fire alarm sounds:
  • Evacuate the building using the nearest safe fire exit
  • Use the stairs—do not use the elevators/lifts
  • Assist people with disabilities or children as required
  • Assemble at one of the Assembly Points and report to a fire warden
  • Remain at the Assembly Point and only re-enter as directed by safety staff

Sandstorms

WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF SANDSTORM

  • Put a mask over your nose and mouth. If you have a respirator or mask designed to filter out small particulates, put it on immediately
  • Protect your eyes
  • Look for shelter
  • Get to high ground
  • Shield yourself from flying objects
  • Wait out the storm

Floods

WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF FLOOD

  • Move immediately to higher ground or stay on high ground.
  • Evacuate if directed.
  • Avoid walking or driving through flood waters. Turn Around, Don't Drown! Just 6 inches of moving water can knock you down and 2 feet of water can sweep your vehicle away.
