Bryon Balint

PhD Candidate

 

I am a PhD Candidate in the area of Computer Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.  My research interests lie in the area of process standardization and improvement, particularly in firms that provide IT and business services outsourcing.  My research is empirical, and utilizes prior work in process innovation, strategy and organizational learning.  Prior to my doctoral studies, I worked for 10 years as a consultant to firms implementing SAP systems.  My duties included custom development, managing development and technical resources, and managing SAP help desks.  I also developed and taught formal courses in SAP’s programming language and other technical areas of SAP.  I truly enjoy teaching and look forward to educating the next generation of students at a top university in the U.S. 

 

I have a wonderful and supportive family – my wife Nora, my daughter Hannah, and my son Michael.  My hobbies include golf, guitar, and cooking.
