I am a Ph.D. student in the
Civil & Environmental Engineering Department at
Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, and affiliated to the
Green Design Institute. I am interested in research that focuses on understanding environmental issues. Such research often requires systems-level modeling approaches that also consider economic and political impacts. In particular, my work so far has looked at analyzing the impacts of energy technologies using life cycle assessment (LCA), optimization and statistical modeling methods, to help inform policy design decisions. My advisors are
Dr. H. Scott Matthews and
Dr. W. Michael Griffin.
Among other things, I attend
CMU Quizzing, am the Vice-President of the
CMU Indian Graduate Student Association, and am part of the
Society of Women Engineers at CMU.
