The W3VC shack looks just about like you'd expect for a club that's been around for nearly a century. It's full of great old equipment, and some new things as well. Our primary radio is a Kenwood TS-2000. The radio can be patched in to one of several HF, VHF, and UHF antennas. Our primary HF antennas are half-wave inverted vees for 80 and 40 meters. The apex of each antenna hangs at the top of the turret above the shack, with the ends stretching down toward the roof of Roberts Hall 5 floors below. We also have a dual-band VHF/UHF antenna on the roof of the turret for general-purpose use, in addition to our UHF repeater antenna and our digipeater antenna.
We have recently assembled a 6-meter vertical antenna and a 10-through-20-meter HF vertical. Both of these antennas will be mounted atop the turret once weather conditions improve and we obtain the proper mounting hardware and feedline.
Photos coming soon.
