hello!
My name is Andrea and I am currently a Senior Communication Design major at Carnegie Mellon University.
I'm looking for a career in 3D modeling, interactive game design, web design, or print. With that said, I love to try new things, and will excel at whatever I put my mind to.
I'm looking for an employer who values a sense of humor, honesty, and resource-fulness because these are the traits that I value in myself.
history
I grew up in Westerville, Ohio, and attended Westerville North High School. Starting at 6 years old, my focus was music. I studied piano performance for 12 years before attending college for design. In high school, I accompanied and sang with 4 of the 5 choirs at my school and received the National School Choral Award for my dedication (given to the top male and female choir seniors each year).
I attended a few classes about design at Ohio State University during my senior year of high school, and developed an interest. I had always loved drawing, but had never considered design before. Carnegie Mellon was the only school that I applied to for design, and I was very surprised to have been accepted. I felt that if I could get into a school of design, having only studied it for a few months, then it's the thing I should be pursuing.
I am pleased to announce my graduation this May, and can't wait to begin whatever comes next.
