Cloud Computing

When I heard this term, I did not understand it or in other words; I could not imagine what it might be! All I knew is that it is related to computing and computer science. However, when I googled it and read about it, I realized that it is what everybody and I use every day. Although the internet is not actually all what this term refers to, but still it is one of the clearest examples of Cloud Computing. In the next two or three paragraphs I will be summarizing the few things I learned about this vast cloud!

What is Cloud Computing?

Cloud Computing is a set of connections and a huge number of resources that holds an enormous amount of organized data and information connected together and shared through some platforms anywhere, anytime. One of the most famous clouds is the internet, and till now it is the most sufficient clouds ever used. This cloud is mainly generated and motored by huge computing companies such as Google and Microsoft. Cloud Computing is where data and software applications are accessed through a cloud, the cloud holds a user data and information in specific servers and it let him access those through the internet all over the world.

What are the basic platforms?

Computers including desktops and laptops, mobiles including Ipods, and clouds are the basic platforms. The fastest growing platform is the clouds, which are accessed through other platforms.

What are other forms of clouds?

P2P, is another form of clouds, and P2P refers to Peer to Peer. This type of cloud has no central servers where the data and information are being stored. The information is stored in individual's services. This type of clouds uses certain software applications that allow individuals to share their information such as Bittorrent.

What does Cloud Computing consist of?

Cloud Computing consist of six layers: Infrastructure, Storage, Platform, Application, Service and clients. Cloud Computing combines: IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.

Iaas: Infrastructure as a Service

PaaS: Platform as a service

SaaS: Software as a Service

Security on clouds!

In my opinion this is the major problem facing the providers and IT systems. Though it is somehow safe to store personal data and information and transfer it, however it is not totally safe. At this point the Cloud Computing stop developing and at this point people lose interest in Cloud Computing but unfortunately there are no alternatives!

Question1:

Is this saying true "It may be the ultimate form of globalization"? Is it really the last phenomena?

Question2:

What is the next step after all this development?

Question3:

Security on Clouds, how are providers dealing with this problem?
