biography
I was born in sunny Southern California where we maintained a typical 60 degrees through the winters. Moving to Pittsburgh for college was a bit of a shock when the temperature can drop into the 40s at the beginning of October.
For high school, I attended Upland High School and was highly involved on campus in my Theatre Department, as well as organizations such as Key Club International, National Honor Society, California Scholarship Federation, Link Crew - our Freshman orientation/mentoring program, Mock Trial, as well as volunteering at my local hospital in the Surgical Department.
Here as a Sophomore at Carnegie Mellon University set to graduate in May 2012, I continue to be heavily involved on campus. I now have a job as an Andrew Ambassador with the Office of Admissions, acting as a representative to high school students interested in the university. I am in a sorority - Delta Gamma - as well as involved in the Activities Board, specifically with AB Films and AB Concerts. I also take part in various community service clubs on campus.
Academically though, I am an Information Systems and Human-Computer Interactions double major. This is a very unique program, and I am excited to be here at Carnegie Mellon pursuing this double major. I feel that it is exactly what I want to do with my life, for now, at least.
Outside of school though, I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan, and have been since I was in 2nd grade. I can probably answer any question you throw at me, which is always amusing to my friends. I also enjoy snowboarding, driving, reading, Twittering, and spending time with my friends in the sunshine. I love California and would love to settle down there after college, if possible. I am also a Disney-fanatic, and cannot get enough of Disneyland and all things Disney.
