Welcome!
I'm Ashley Castillo and I welcome you to my website. Here I have my resume online and showcase my past work and what I'm currently working on. I'm originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, where I've lived all my life. I graduated from Springbrook High School in 2007, where I was involved with volunteering with the Montgomery County Public Library's Summer Reading Program as well as the Silver Spring Library Advisory Committee, and was vice-president of my class, secretary of the National Honor Society and a member of the Drama Club's Stage Crew and Spanish Honor Society. I also interned with the Montgomery County Public School's Web Services Team, where I designed elementary school websites.
I'm currently a sophomore attending Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduating in the Class of 2011. I'm an Information Systems major also pursuing minors in Art History and Hispanic Studies. I work for the Office of Admissions as an Admissions Assistant and Tour Guide, am co-president of the Ballroom Dance Club, and secretary of the HAPAs club, an organization for multicultural and multiethnic students. I'm also a member of the Lambda Sigma Sophomore Honor Society, where members regularly participate in community service events. This summer, I plan to intern either in Seattle with Expedia or the Boeing Corporation or in Washington, D.C. with Raytheon. I also have ambitions to study abroad in Madrid, Spain or Seville, Spain at some point.
