As head of the Finance Zone, the Treasurer maintains all CMU|NSBE cash accounts and chapter budgets, allocates and distributes monies, sets and collects chapter due from members, meets with the Dean and President of the university to get funds for the chapter, stands as the sole liaison between CMU|NSBE and the Student Activities Account Administrator, and is directly responsible for the Conference Planning Chairperson, Corporate Liaison, and Fundraising Chairperson.

Leadership is nothing new to Kory. He began in high school, elected by his peers to leadership roles in his school and community. His interest in engineering stemmed from his leadership in CHROME Club (Cooperating Hampton Roads Organizations for Minorities in Engineering) and a particular interest in math and science. Those interests have led him not only to study engineering, but also to advocate by his involvement in NSBE for others who want to enter the field.
