Scouting Report

Neil was acquired by the Penguins because Craig Patrick felt the Pens had too many small offensive defenseman and not enough big defensive defenseman. Neil is not expected to be a statistical leader on the team; however, he will toughen up the defense. He is a physical stay-at-home defenseman and will play that way for the Pens.
