The Penguins agreed to terms with LW Petr Nedved yesterday before the game.
Various sources have reported on the contract, but most agree that it is a
multi-year deal worth between $2 and $2.5 million a year. Petr flew in from
Vancouver yesterday and Craig Patrick signed him to the deal at 5PM. He was a
surprise non-scratch in last night's loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. He
played in his usual LW spot with Jagr and Francis. He even got an assist on
Mario's game tying goal late in the third period.
The Pens were utterly outplayed in last night's loss to Tampa Bay. Final score
Tampa Bay 4, Pittsburgh 3 in OT.
