Mid Autumn Festival Party. A Chinese tradition based on a mythical story. Featuring lanterns, moon-cakes, Chinese games, story-telling on story, and a dance performance.

We had a tremendously successful event, which we jointly organized with the Awareness of Roots of Chinese Culture (ARCC). Over a hundred students and faculty, including many non-Chinese came and enjoyed delicious moon-cakes, watched an entertainment sketch about the origins of the festival), made lanterns, drank hot Chinese tea, and mingled with friends. Many thanks to Professor Yu who narrated the tale during the sketch.

Do you know what the answer to this riddle is?

We scattered several riddles around the area for participants to answer and win a prize.

A great deal of credit goes to the Presidents of the SSA, Wee Choon (left), and of the ARCC, Sylvia Huang (right).
