On January 30, 1998, the several student organizations on campus including the Asian Students Association, the Taiwanese Students Association, the Korean Students Association, the Hong Kong Students Association, and the Singapore Students' Association jointly organized a fashion show at Rangos Ballroom. Timed to coincide with the Chinese or Lunar New Year, the event was a huge success and saw numerous models grace the calkwalk.
