"When the moon is in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars, then peace will guide the planets, and love will steer the stars!"

Scotch'n'Soda Theatre presents:
"Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical"
Book and Lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado. Music by Galt MacDermot.
Friday, October 4, 8:30pm and Saturday, October 5, 7:00 and 10:00 in the UC in McConnomy. All tickets are $3 and will be available at the door.

Peace. Love. Freedom. Happiness. These are the things worth fighting for according to the tribe of Hippies presented in "Hair." Through many familiar 60's rock songs such as "Aquarius" and "Easy to Be Hard", the tribe explores many important political issues in the late 1960's, and the lives of several very different people in 1968: a young man about to be drafted and sent to Vietnam, a strong-willed protestor from NYU yearning for "Peace now! Freedom now!", a girl dealing with the consequences of pregnancy and unrequited love, a black man fighting against racism, and a carefree high school dropout. The underlying political messages in "Hair" will not leave us untouched. This is one show not to miss.

*Please note: "Hair" contains some partial nudity and language that may
be offensive.

The simple set came alive with magnificent lighting effects and projections.  During the show, several images were projected onto the big screen which tied
into the themes and ideas presented by the tribe.

Everything came together wonderfully thanks to this talented production staff!
