Constitutional Documents Interested in what lies behind the plays and scripts? The Scotch 'n' Soda Constitution, ratified unanimously by the general membership in April of 1999, provides the framework for our organization's day-to-day existence. All current members are highly encouraged to look over these documents to see what lies behind the productions and people.

Constitutional History The Constitutional Committee was composed of three members, appointed by the Board of Directors. Their responsiblities included meeting weekly to evaluate and discuss sections of the constitution as well as draft possible changes.

Appointed Members:
Donovan Chase
Olga Massov
Jon Portera

The Committee presented the rough draft of a new constitution to the board at the Board meeting on March 1, 1999. A copy of this constitutional draft was posted to assocs.scotch-n-soda, and open debate was encouraged until the morning of March 7, 1999.

The original document was modified as per the suggestions by the membership, and finally approved by the Board of Directors. At the end of March, Student Senate recognized our new constitution, and on April 14th the general membership unanimously voted to approve the new Constitution. We thank the Constitutional Commitee for all of their work and effort in this matter - it is certain that we have begun a new era in Scotch 'n' Soda's future.
