Project Sunshine Training

All volunteers must complete the Project Sunshine training before going to a hospital or medical facility. To complete this training, volunteers must go to one of the scheduled on campus one-hour training events, and fill out the Volunteer training packet and hear a training presentation. If you have already completed the training once, you are not required to complete it again. However, if you feel you do want to remind or refresh yourself on the procedures, feel free to attend another training event.

Hospital or Medical Facility Training

Usually working in hospitals or medical facilities requires volunteers to undergo a short training before their first event. Each facility is unique in what they require their volunteers.

For The Children's Hospital, volunteers must be over the age of 18, and constrain by the following rules for dress: business casual, closed toe shoes, no jeans or shorts, no t-shirts with non-project sunshine logos (Must wear our project sunshine T-shirts).
