Graduate Conference in Logic and The Philosophy of Science

and the inception of

The Pittsburgh Journal:
Graduate Research in Logic and the Philosophy of Science



All graduate level students are invited to submit a paper on any topic relevant to logic and the philosophy of science for the Inaugural University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon Conference in Logic and The Philosophy of Science. Accepted authors will be invited to speak in Pittsburgh in the Spring of 1999. Some of the accepted authors will also have the option to be published in The Pittsburgh Journal.

Submissions should not exceed 12,500 words. Authors submitting papers involving technical topics are advised to provide sufficient introduction and state what assumptions are expected of the reader. Please submit two double spaced copies of your paper and a short abstract by October 15, 1998 to:
