Overview
Founded in 1985, the Department of Philosophy at Carnegie Mellon stands among the best in the world in the following areas:
- Logic and Philosophy of Mathematics
- Philosophy of Science and Methodology
- Rational Choice and Decision Theory
- Formal Epistemology
- Philosophy of the Social Sciences
- Foundations of Cognitive Psychology
