By car from the West - Cars traveling from the west via the PA Turnpike (I-76) should take Exit 3 onto I-79 South. Take I-79 South to I-279 South. (You exit to the left off I-79). Follow I-279 into the city. As you cross the river into the city you will enter the lower lever of a double-decker highway. Look for the sign “Convention Center / Strip District Left Lane”. Get in the lane exiting Fort Duquesne Boulevard, which is the 2nd lane from the left. As you exit onto Fort Duquesne Boulevard cross Stanwix Street at the first stop light. Go one block to Sixth Street. A parking garage is on your near right at the corner of Sixth and Fort Duquesne Boulevard. By car from the South including Pittsburgh International Airport - By car from the South: Follow I-79 North and exit 59A onto I-279 North. From Pittsburgh International Airport: Upon exiting the Airport, follow signs to Pittsburgh. The highway from the Airport will merge onto I-279 North. From the intersection of I-79 and I-279 travel slightly under 5 miles to the Fort Pitt Tunnels. Get in the left lane as you enter the Fort Pitt Tunnels. Upon exiting from the tunnels onto Fort Pitt Bridge insure you are in the 2nd lane from the left. (Also - note the stunning entrance into the city :-) Exit 6C Fort Duquesne Boulevard Strip District.
