At this point it gets icky. At some point during the KGB meeting, Xander (aveerhof) was called upon to give a report. He looked at his notes and discovered that, of the four players remaining, only jboriss and rlambert had kills. He decided that the other players (dkb and mlowry) were out of the game; he did not announce this, however, and it was not made clear until later. What actually happened was: Xander asked rlambert and jboriss to stand, and declared the meeting to be no longer a safe area. rlambert and dkb had a brief battle in the corner; dkb was stunned and fled the meeting. jboriss threw a sock at rlambert, who hid her sock in her pocket at about the same time; morally this was a valid attack, but legally it depends on the timing. It's not clear what mlowry did. At this point Xander stepped in and instructed rlambert to duel with jboriss. They did, and rlambert won. rlambert is therefore the winner. It's interesting to think about how the game would have gone if everyone had understood that dkb and mlowry were dead. jboriss's attack on rlambert would have been a killing one, regardless of mucking about with rules loopholes; on the other hand, rlambert would have been defending against jboriss rather than fighting with dkb, who was out of the game.
